In the near future, a new phenomenon shocks the globe as powerful flashes of light in the ocean coincide with inexplicable appearances of people from the past. Hailing from three separate time periods--The Stone Age, The Viking Era and late 19th Century--these time travellers, referred to as "beforeigners," have no memory of what's transpired or why. Set in Oslo a few years after the pioneer "timeigrants" arrive, Season 1 follows a police officer and a burned-out detective whose investigation of a murder begins to unravel a larger conspiracy behind the origin of the mysterious mass arrivals.
