Black-ish swept the 2019 NAACP Image Awards’ television comedy categories and won Outstanding Comedy Series for the fifth year in a row, as well as an Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series win for Anthony Anderson, with Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series going to Tracee Ellis Ross, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Marsai Martin, and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Marcus Scribner. The show has received 25 Emmy® nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Anthony Anderson), and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (Tracee Ellis Ross, who also won a Golden Globe Award® in 2017 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Comedy). Black-ish also received a prestigious Peabody Award in 2015 and the American Film Institute selected the show as an honoree for 2015.
