Family Ties, Season 2

As the season begins, Mallory, is still seeing her boyfriend, Jeff, while Alex continues to play the field. Standout episodes include "This Year's Model," in which Mallory enters Elyse and herself in a modeling contest. Elyse's relationship with her son is similarly tested in "Birthday Boy," in which Alex turns 18 and declares his independence despite still living at home. And in "Not An Affair To Remember" Steven faces temptation when his new assistant (played by Judith Light) falls for him. Other notable guest stars include a final series appearance for Tom Hanks ("Say Uncle") as well as Daphne Zuniga and Jami Gertz ("Double Date").
